Margaret Ann shares her trick for removing the seeds of a pomegranate.

How To Remove the Seeds of a Pomegranate

  • Fill a large bowl about 1/2 full with water
  • Cut pomegranate in half
  • Place one half in the water and using your fingers break about the pomegranate to release the seeds. The seeds will float to the bottom of the bowl.
  • Once you have removed all the seeds, skim the water to remove the little pieces of white pulp and then drain the water from the seeds.
  • Store pomegranate seeds in an air tight container in the fridge.
  • Enjoy on salads, with yogurt or your favourite cereal.
