Every year my husband and I along with our daughter, try our hand at planting a vegetable garden. We attempt to grow rhubarb, tomatoes, beets, beans, carrots and some fresh herbs. I use the word attempt very generously because I would describe our gardening ability as having black thumbs. Every year something entertaining happens to our garden and we learn something - likes how important it is to mark each row for weeding purposes!
Last year we ended up with too many tomatoes. Why? Well we unknowingly planned eight tomatoes plants. Needless to say after we ate tomatoes every day and most days twice, had gaveN tomatoes to anyone who would take them, we still had a lot left. After a little research it seemed like freezing tomatoes is the easiest way to preserve them. Here's how.
