Navigating a Food Allergy

With the New Year brought a suspected milk allergy to my family. The advice from our doctor is to avoid milk until we see the allergist. So of course when you think about avoiding milk you think of the usual suspects...milk, cheese and yogurt. But in actual fact it is so much more than that.

The "Unrolled" Cabbage Roll Soup

Growing up my parents made cabbage rolls every fall. They would usually take an afternoon to make a big roasting pan of cabbage rolls and then freeze them to enjoy all winter! Cheesy Broccoli & Ham Quinoa Cups

I'm not usually one to set New Year's Resolutions. This year however, I do find myself reflecting on some of my habits with the arrival of 2018. When it comes to food, one thing I definitely struggled with in 2017 was breakfast. The all-important breakfast meal was not always had at a reasonable time and the food choices weren't always the best (no, 11:30am doesn't count as a reasonable time and having just an apple, although better than nothing, leaves me pretty ravenous by mid-morning).
